| Carousel Farms offers an extensive Youth Program: Private Lessons: We offer 30 minute private lessons for children starting as young as 4 years old. (Please click here for current rates.) All lessons are geared toward not only the mastery of riding skills but also building knowledge of horses and horse care. Answering the age old question of "WHY?" we do all the strange things we do around horses helps kids to retain what they've learned and put it in perspective, not only on horseback, but in daily life as well. Gift Certificates for lessons are available upon request. Horse Shows: Throughout the summer months, there are a variety of local horse shows that we like to take our students to. Horse shows are a wonderful experience for students: they learn about riding in a group, show off what they've learned at home, and have a great time both riding and cheering each other on! If you're interested in showing, please let your trainer know as soon as possible - the show season is sneaking up on us very quickly and we will need to plan accordingly! Summer Horse Camp: We will hold our annual camp week sometime in July or August. Check back soon for more information! 4-H Horse Project: Merry-Go-Riders 4-H Horse Club meets at Carousel Farms on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. | Safety Note: All students under the age of 18 are required to wear approved head gear while mounted. There is no dress code for riding lessons, however it is highly recommended that all students wear boots that have a small heal and long pants. There is a dress code for horse shows. If you plan to show, please discuss these requirements with your trainer prior to show time. |
